The Agadir Marina by Car
The Agadir Marina isn't the city's oldest attraction, but it has become the focal point for evening dining, higher-end retail, and nightlife. Since its development in the 2000s, the district has successfully attracted both affluent Moroccan residents and visitors staying in the surrounding hotels.
By car, it's one of Agadir's more accessible districts — provided you know where to park.
---
Getting There
The Marina sits north of Agadir port, between the main beach and the Founty hotel zone.
From Boulevard Mohammed V (the Corniche): continue north toward the port. Marina signage appears on the final two kilometres.
From the airport or Founty: take the avenue running through the northern hotel zone and descend toward the port. The Marina is signposted.
Google Maps reliably navigates to the Marina from anywhere in Agadir.

Parking: What Works
The Marina's organised car park is the best option. It's paid, guarded, and generally available on weekdays. At night (for restaurants and bars), it's the safest and best-lit parking in the area.
On weekend evenings (Friday and Saturday, 20h–23h): the Marina car park can fill up. Arrive before 20h if you're planning a late dinner.
Alternative: the back streets behind the Marina have free on-street spaces. An informal parking attendant is usually present — the same customs apply as elsewhere in Agadir (5 to 10 DH when you leave).
What not to do: park on the Marina's interior promenade or in front of boat access areas. Fines are applied more consistently here than in most other parts of Agadir.
---
What the Marina Offers in the Evening
Restaurants: the Marina's establishments cover a wide range — grilled fish, Italian, upscale Moroccan, pizzerias. Prices are above Agadir's general level but well below European equivalents for comparable quality.
Bars and terraces: the Marina concentrates most of Agadir's licensed establishments. The interior promenade stays animated until midnight in season.
Shops: several clothing and quality souvenir boutiques, with prices reflecting the district's positioning.

The Marina by Day
The district changes character completely during daylight hours. Cafés serve breakfast, shops open gradually. The adjacent port is active in the morning — artisanal fishing boats return with the morning tide.
If you have a car available and time in the morning, the Marina combined with a walk along the port is one of Agadir's most animated early-morning scenes.
---
The Marina in a Larger Programme
The Marina is 10 minutes by car from the Souk El Had and 5 minutes from the main beach. It slots naturally into a day that starts at the market in the morning and ends with dinner by the water in the evening.
For Berkars clients staying in the Founty hotel zone, the Marina is within easy walking distance — but the car is useful for the return trip late in the evening if you prefer not to walk.
